Barack and the beanstalk

Barack and the Beanstalk was a political satire musical about a young Barack Obama who sells his cow for some magic beans. The play mixes the story of America’s near-bankruptcy with the classic fairytale to create a high paced romp.
Full of larger than life characters the show played first at the OSO Arts Centre in Barnes and then travelled to the Canal Café, Little Venice near Paddington from the 15th to the 27th of September. Rob played multiple roles in the show including the creator of the high yield bond, Michael Milken, who buys the cow with his magic beans, the embodiment of debt and hunger in America, The Giant as well singing taxmen and American patriots.
